Zainoed

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

OK--I keep seeing posts with Zs that have multiple coats of Zaino. I've never used it....is it really that good? What makes it so special and what is the best place to get it? Is it a wax, polish? Sorry for the dumb questions, just never used the product. I've been using Meguiars products but am always looking for the best.

First negative remarks I've ever heard about Zaino.
Mine came in yesterday, I plan to use it this weekend.

Z1: I don't take DaddyPhatSak's comments as that negative, though, because I've seen pictures of his car on here, and I knew immediately he used Zaino just from the shine.
ReavTek: It's not that expensive, considering the products go a long way. As for it being confusing, not in the least. I was able to figure it out just by following their directions. They also include directions on the back of each bottle.

Yeah no negativity here....Im just being picky....dont think anything can take out the fine fine scratches. I love my Zaino

Like the Zaino, hate the fine swirls that show up on my Redline in mid-day, summer sunlight. What're you going to do, though?
Maybe the other colors don't show as much?

The Zaino Z-5 should be able to hide the truly fine swirls. My DB shows almost none and I've only applied a couple of Z-5 coats on two separate occasions.
If you have serious swirls, you'll probably have to have them polished out then start with the Zaino treatments to keep them to a minimum.
Whether you use Zaino or something else, you have to be careful how you wash, dry and wax it to help minimize swirls.
I sure wish Zaino was around back in '85 when I had a black 300ZXT. After two years it was a mess of swirls and fine scratches. If I only knew then what I know now....

Ordered the Zaino before I even picked up the car. My brother-in-law had been using it on his cars and I was sold! This car has never seen any other polishing product. (Just a lazy little experiment with the Mr. Clean car wash system. Sorry Sal, never again!). Ran it through the inaugural Dawn, clay bar process. What little swirls I had were handled by Z5. After that, it's been all done out of pure love of the shine!
