Considering that some get a z and have no probs, where some get on and its a piece of ****. Junk or good car?? I ask myself that everytime i drive mine?lol!! Anyone have some insight!!

We've had 3 sets of tires and now 24K later we still have the car and drive it every day. Good car or bad? We still enjoy it just as much as the day we got it in August of 02.

I walked past a black '02 'vette in a parking lot today and I looked it over up close - it was in super condition with a great set of Volk wheels - then I got to my Zainoed black touriing w/burnt orange seats - to my mind there was no comparison - the Z is jsut a stunning looking car (only MY opinion). My dealer put on a new set of tires yesterday with no hassles. Only problem I've had and I did get two years on the first set so. . . . .I got the car I expected to get and I love every minute behind the wheel!

I acutally love mine but i dont want to replece my ****ing tires every 3 months. I am thinking about getting rid of my 2004 z ltouring sliver limo tinted windows and light. Anyone want one??? 32000 and its yours!!!! its only got 1200 miles on it!!! ANYONE WANT A NEW Z.

solidus, are you sure you'll have the feathering issue?
here's an option. go to a competent tire dealer in your area and get an alignment... with before/after printout. make sure they use the 0 toe adjustment in the latest TSB.
at least try that before you give up. i had some feathering in my 03 track around 6K miles, but was able to get 17K out of the tires with no fixes whatsoever.
when i replaced the tires at 17K, i got an alignment, and it was grossly out of whack on the toe adjustments. i mean way way out - moreso than could be attributed to potholes or driving conditions. i'm convinced the car came from the showroom with an alignment problem. my new set of tires have over 6K, are softer, a better type (toyo t1s), and have a great tread, water capability, and traction. bridgestone makes crappy tires.
give it a try, and let us know how it goes.

I am totally pleased with my 2003 auto enthusiast. presently has 21k no feathering issues although my passenger window regulator went out last month. i did have the burnt orange leather put in, a garmin 2620 nav sys, nismo exhaust, and i added a subwoofer and amp. i travel a lot and the car has never missed a lick. in my experience as an automobile consumer every new product line will experience a few problems. i'm confident at this point nissan is working on, and covering their ass thus going forward with any data gathered from consumers to date regarding problems with the product design. :)

new to this thread. i have been reading this forum lately with some interest. I have a 2003 track with 16,000 miles. It's been in the shop four times. aligned twice. tires replaced once. brakes resurfaced once (service shop thought this would solve the roaring noise). now the windows stay down from time to time.
i'm also seriously thinking about getting rid of this thing. i've filed a BBB complaint already. what else do I do to get nissan to repurchase the car back? there is NO way i'm paying for new tires every 7000 miles.

Early 03 base car with virtually zero problems. I love the car and only paid $27K. Can't beat that!!!! I have 20K+ miles on it.

is there a comparable car to the Z out there that is problem free?
because one gives up a lot of performance bang for the buck giving up the Z because of tire issues only to get into another car with less performance bang and possibly a different yet worst problem.
