Funny how the added power is noticable when all tests have confirmed the 300/260(hp/torque) is definitely slower than the 287/274 engine.

it feels very different............the lower torque is obvious so you drive it differently. i need to keep the revs higher which may mean that i push it more.......
you may have the statistics but i can assure you that the new one feels faster.

The 06 also weighs 200lbs more than the 03. That coupled with the loss of torque shouldn't make it faster than the 03. The numbers I have seen indicate that the 06 is not faster than the 03.

it is really interesting to me to see how people who have never driven or owned BOTH of these cars are very quick to make statements of fact regarding their comparison.
i really dont care what the figures or data show,all i can tell you is that there is a considerable difference in the way they perform. i am not even discussing which is quicker or not but rather the subjective driving experience. i would suggest that you drive both before making definitive statements.

you can make a lot of factual statements based on specs alone. you don't need to drive the cars. if anything that may skew the facts.
