Pre 1997 you would have to race to have a chance (stay away from C5's 97-04's unless heavily modded) and 95 and 96 may still be able to edge the 350 out looking at these times from July 95 Motor Trend for the Vette, but more of a drivers race.
5.2 sec to 60 and a 13.7 1/4@ 103.9 in the 1/4. Similiar 1/4 miles times to a well Driven 350 manual but a higher trap speed.

I was wondering how far back I had to go w/ my stock Z to beat a stock vette. Z would have to be a bad arse driver against a good vette driver. I still like the unique look of the Z more. Esp. in the next Gen. vette with the headlights that aren't flip top.
