I try to keep it under double digits on the streets, since speeding tickets in California are double or triple the cost of the same speeds on the freeway - and probably rightly so.
My Top speed on the freeway so far was 143 before the wife started wigging out. I5 is a 300 mile long straightaway, just made for high speed hijinx :-)

I haven't had my Z above 75 - 80 mph. But, I was raised around racing and as a fearless teenager I had access to some very fast cars and I took full advantage.
On the 101 Freeway in No CA:
160 mph in a MB 300SL coupe
200 + mph in a Keith Black built Corvette - MB roadster

The stealth belonged to my cousin and I was a passenger. The car was modified with the usual (upgraded turbo, exhaust, he removed the cat converter, ect ect.) but I forget how extensive the mods got.

On the topic of the stealth, having nothing to do with the integrity of the poster, they hit an aerodynamic WALL at 150, to hit 180 he would probably have one of the top 10 fastest stealth's on the planet. Then again, anything is possible when your mods are upgraded turbos.
I've went a solemn 160 "+" in the ttz easily on more than one occasion. The fastest I've ever been on 4 wheels as on an FD, it registered just at 180 when we slowed down.
