350skyilne

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

does anybody know anything about puttings a skyline awd system in a 350 if it's possible, has anybody done it, would you need a skyline or could you get it custom done, if anybody could give me any information on how to make this happen that would be cool.
A:

$$$$ and knowledge.
The entire setup of the ATESSA-ETS will include installing/config the computer.
It all depends on how much time and money you're willing to put forth.

No way. It's difficult enough swapping a t-case, front shaft and driven axle in a two-wheel drive pick-up... and it's designed for it. The 350 was never designed for the hard parts (the computer can be remapped). Unless you've got master level fabrication skills (reshaping floorpans, tunnels, firewall...) I'd let this one go. But if you've got the $$$... it'll be a fun project to watch!
A:

yeah it would be pretty hard to do this one, but it would be sweet If I do decide to do this it would problably one of the last projects i do, but the recognition would be worth that kind of money.
A:

Why would you want to down grade to a skyline engine? If your talking about a Gt-R, that’s a different story. Save your money and get an Infinity Gt-R when they come out soon.
A:

when is the gt-r coming out?

There are several people who have done this swap. One such group was ZEL international. They pulled everything from a GTR and slapped it into a 350Z (including ATESSA ET-S) They actually used this car for pikes peak. There's a best motoring video called the GTR prodigy, which features this car. The Japanese guys testing the car on a road course drift the crap out of it, but claim that it needs more power to cope with the weight of the AWD system and the weight of FM platform. A better option is to raise the output of your 350 to about 350HP. Then lighten the crap out of it and add some sort of suspension system. The key to unlocking performance in the 350 is balancing everything, and weight is the weakest link here.
TedDawg: new GTR comes out 2007. new pics of it are in current road & track magazine.

i cant wait that long for a new car, but thanks for the tips but performance wise I dont think that would make that big of a difference, so I'll problably put this idea on the shelf
