A&Q about 350Z
Q:
The very informal Colorado 350Z group would like to invite all Nissan and Infiniti owners to a drive through Central City, Blackhawk and other mountain destinations this coming Saturday (7/17/04). We will be meeting at the Colorado Mills shopping center in the Target parking lot (on the west side near Indiana st and W. Colfax), 8 AM sharp. This will be a spirited and relaxing trip and we'll stop for lunch whenever and whereever we feel like it. Expect to be done by early afternoon. For more details, please post here, check the thread over at MY350Z.com, SW forums or feel free to e-mail me.

Spirited and relaxing? Doesn't sound like how I drive my Z! I'd say more like belligerent and infuriating! j/k
I'm usually blasting up and down Morrison road or Boulder canyon. This sounds fun, but I think I may need to work Saturday.
dkmura, please keep me posted on additional get togethers. I work down in the Inverness/Meridian center.

Oh man, boulder canyon. I gotta get back to Colo.

Yep, the summer roads in Colorado can be great! As for truly fast driving, you would love to come to one of our Z track days. We've been down to Pueblo Motorsports Park, Second Creek Raceway and LaJunta Raceways for some high performance driving exercises and flat-out circuit driving. Colorado also has some of the most affordable track fees around: try $35/car for the entire day!
But, as I say, this Saturday's event will be "spirited and relaxed" (depending on how much you can relax while zipping around corners)...

Colorado is an awesome place. I just wish I had the ocean still. (moved from California) photo, you should see it here in the fall! MAN! That's the best time for the mountain drives. Aspen turning and weather is changing as well.
I live down in Greenwood Village. It's a suburb southeast of Denver. It's great here because you're about 20-30 minutes from downtown. The area here is awesome. MOST people are friendly.
As for best places to live, it depends on your taste and budget.
I don't know how the job market is here for IT. It's been a while since I've looked for work. Sun Micro has been on a hiring freeze for a while. I would try Monster.com as a gauge of IT hiring. I'm pretty sure companies are interested in good people.
What's your specialty? "IT" is kind of broad.

I also live in and around Greenwood Village. Work in the Tech Center as an Engineer. It is my understanding that the IT job market right now is kind of slow. My best friend is a software developer and has spent the last 2 years trying to get out of his crappy job and into a better one. He had a hard time doing it.

What an enjoyable day. Thanks to David for bringing some hot and juicy Krispy Kremes for everybody to start out the day. We had seven beautiful Z's crusing all the way up to Blackhawk and into Central City. Stopped by the Isle Casino and at least one of us made a few bucks. Don sold a few CG-locks and did a short demo on how to install them. We continued up CO 119 and the Peak-to-Peak route through Nederland and on towards Estes Park. Threatening weather had us halt our westward march and head into Lyons for lunch. After a good lunch with lots of Z talk we decided to head down into Boulder and check out Boulder Nissan's Stillen supercharged and Greddy Twin Turbo Z applications. Thanks to Boulder Nissan for letting us take an up close and personal look at both cars, although I think Don has a serious case of supercharged lust now. A fun summer day, but I'm already looking forward to the next one!
Hope to see a few more members of this board join us next time!
