Thanks Zoldman. I will read the contract. Damn lease! How am I supossed to start a family when I am stuck with this 2 seater for 4 years. Don't get me wrong, I love my Z. I'm sure there is a way to work something out. We shall see. Decisions based on impulse...not good.

PS: get a puppy first. they're much cheaper, just like raising a baby at least for the first 6 months, and even better than babies, you can give the puppy away to a friend if they chew up your slippers too many times.
other than that, you might consider waiting on the family until the financial affairs work themselves out. another thing to consider... if you own a home, you might do a home equity line and then buy the Z out right away. then you can resell it immediately without any lease repercussions. all depends on how they did the lease to Zoldman's point.

You can post how much longer your lease is and can sell it to someone else. You lose whatever you put down and have paid into it but it gets you out of debt. Others like taking over a lease because all the front money has already been put down by you. All they have to do is take over the lease payments and in the end, could do the buy option and come out great.
You can't get out of a lease...but you can let someone else take it over. Check out that link and see what happens.

TwoLow, I like that swap a lease website very much. I will talk to my nissan dealership first, then I will most likely swap it. I just hope a large population of buyers looks at that particular website when looking for a car. That's a win-win situation for the person who takes over the lease payment because I already put thousands down and they don't have to worry about paying that amount. Awesome.
Grounded, I'm hoping to be the 1 out of 10 that doesn't divorce. It's a risk I am willing to take. 350z or marriage/family....can't have both. We'll see. If the family thing doesn't work out then I'll just get another Z.
