A&Q about 350Z
Q:
335hp Nismo "PACER" version will be added to line-up. Don't expect creature comforts of a Touring Model to be part of the deal. Price estimated to be $42,500 MSRP

There will only be a couple of significant changes for 2005. One the probable inclusion of the new Pathfinder 4.0-liter DOHC V6 engine ( maybe as an option, special edition or anniversary edition - something like that ) which would bump the HP a little. Another, there is an elbow shaped control arm ( sorry can't remember the name ) that is not adjustable on current Zs. On the 2005s that arm will be adjustable. This is supposedly the key to fixing the front suspension and tire feathering issue. The quality of the interior may be improved somewhat over current Zs and the front grille / bumper/ reflectors may undergo a minor redesign.

You asked your dealer!? LOL. Even if they knew anything about a new model they wouldn't say a thing. Think! They want to sell you what's on the floor not what's in the pipeline.
Eventually, the car mags will print the details leaked to them and they will be mostly right. Anything else you hear, on this forum or elsewhere, is pure bull****.

jaybuck,
due to the dynamic physics of the convertible setup, Nissan cannot upgrade the horsepower as they can with the coupe. Just like the 300ZX....they never made a Twin Turbo convertible due to chasis bending, and poor handling at higher speeds. Although, I was told that the convertible will have a light bar added to it in late 2005, similar to the Saleen Mustang light bar. I dunno if it will be a dealer option, but I will find out.

jaybuck,
I personally was looking to buy an aftermarket forced induction kit (supercharger or turbo) when I use to have my 350Z...although, I promised myself that if I were to go forced induction, that I would respect boost limits on the engine. I say, "go for it!" just don't boost higher than engine efficiency range, which is usually between 6psi to 11psi. Anything past 11 and your chancing it with a serious and costly outcome. Now, becuase you have a drop-top, doesn't make your car less potential to be modified, just watch your speedometer and learn your cars limit at high speeds.....takes time to master!
