Elbow Hitting Hazard Button

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Either I or my wife keep hitting the Hazard Button with our elbow. It sure is in a bad location. How do you avoid this? I'm trying to keep my arms away however it is sure annoying! Do you place a pad over it??? Any comments.....I'd like to shut it off completely!
A:

I just went out to check, and I come nowhere close to the hazard switch. How do you do it?
A:

That happens quite often when my wife rides shotgun. She tends to lean on the console with her elbow and enables the flashers.
No real solution that I know of.

My dog steps on mine. I have fabricated a 3" wide flat peice of black plastic with plastic peices super glued to the sides. The length of it is so that it is snug and kind of clips on and off when giving the dog a ride. Works extremely well and is nearly cosmetically invisible. No more doggy flashers.

u let ure dog ride in ure z? ure an idiot.

digital,
My dog has more class and brains in his ahole than you. Dogs are great, and deserve all the best. Cover the seats with towels and no problems. He is trained not to stick his feet out of any of my cars windows. Do not call people idiots wrecklessly. Nissan is buying back my car for being a POS via the BBB, so WTF do I care? I offer helpful advice and you assault. My dog is way cool, and garners much freindliness and attention. HINT. Cute dog plus 350Z, gets maximum attention plus, introductions to a wide variety of people. Who's the idiot? Z plus dog = 5 new different opposite sex dates so far, and counting. Come on Dog, wanna go for a ride to the park, shopping center, Garden store, etc........Whoa da idiot????????

I think my dog presses the hazard button on purpose, especially when cops are around. I've had two human passengers hit the heated seat buttons with their elbows, and I've occasionally done the same.
As a temporary fix, until something cool hits the market, I fashioned a cover out of two pieces of smooth cardboard glued together and folded on the sides. I used Gorilla Glue on the crease seams to make it rigid, and then painted the whole thing with flat black spray paint. It looks pretty good! I only use it when I have passengers, human or otherwise.

I support you SRL311. It is unfortunate that we have people like DIGITAL , who attempt to spoil the goodwill of people on this board and stray from the topic at hand...
A:

Well said Long beach. Dogs ar supercompanions and mine goes with me everywhere that is possible. Sounds like your solution is simlar to mine, cover it over with a riged material. Digital must be a dog hater, and you know what they say about people who dont like dogs, and dogs that don't like people.
A:

Dont' know about the majority here but my dog doesnt help me get laid....stupid dog
A:
