A&Q about 350Z

Took my '03 Track in for a second time after they decided to replace the throw bearing. It was still making this horrible clunky rattle sound until you pushed in the cutch. They decided to replace the tranny and now they've had the car for a week and a half (still wating for the transmission to arrive from NY). Mean while I'm in this POS Dodge Neon. Starting to get real pissed off. Anyone on their second tranny having problems, or do they have them fixed?

You probably got someone elses 'remanufactured' tranny. Sort of like playing russian roulette. Bend over for Nissan.

autoweek reported many owners replacing faulty transmissions, and "most of them more than once".
other quotes in the may 17 article were owners that "swore they would never purchase another nissan product again, and ...owners that invoked the lemon law".
this issue, and many other quality issues on the 350z, have been reported here many times, and probably partially explains the plummeting rankings in the JD Power surveys, which now make nissan ratings among the worst reported brands.
pretty disappointing for those of us who are current Z owners, and have owned more than one.
