Beware: sounds in this car are hard to locate. Keep searching and you'll surprise yourself.

rearview mirror has a collapsable portion between the headliner and the mirror to cover the wiring - every now and then it gets loud

i have the same rattle in mine, it drives me nuts !
i even punched it few times, goes away for a lil while, then comes back.
they couldnt duplicate the noise on a test drive, so they didnt fix it.

I've got a buzz noise too - - I thought it was the visors so I had the vanity lights replaced under a TSB - - but then realized I only heard the buzz when I was in 3rd gear or 5th - - (ie:shifter moved towards the dash) - I've noticed if I hold the shift boot and feel at the base towards the dash, the buzz sound stops - seems to be a noise related to the shift boot being compressed, squeezed, at the base of the front of the shifter - - although I woud have swore it the noise was from the rear view mirror, visor area - - see if the same applies to your buzzing noise.

I have a rattle on top of the dash on the drivers side.
It only happens every once in a while and i can hold down on a part right behind the instrument cluster and it stops while i hold down on it.
I know if i take it to the dealer they won't be able to find it.
So anyone know how to take the dash apart?i guess i will try to fix it myself.
It just drives me crazy that a new car has a rattle like this...

Applied some leather care product to the shifter boot to soften it up a bit and it went away.

my rattle is in the plastic vent ducting that runs along the bottom base of the windshield. it buzzes mostly on the passenger side. but by reaching forward on the drivers side and pressing on the plastic, it stops completely.
sometimes though, it is the rearview mirror. they are in collusion to drive me to delusion.
just open the windows and go faster, everything gets better then.
