redesigned bridgestones

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I was wondering if anyone has been able to tell if the redesigned bridgestone 040 tread pattern on the front tires has helped the feathering. I was looking at the new Zs at my local dealership, and two of the three cars have the new tread. The rear tread on all three was the old design. I can see how the new design could help stop the uneven, or feathering type wear we are all seeing, or at least the sound.

I got them....but only 2k miles on the car....so no feathering yet

The 1st picture posted by DaddyPhatSaks @ Jun 13, 5:27pm is the new front tire. The second picture @ Jun 13, 9:24pm shows the back tire. The patterns are not the same. Note the inside edge of the 1st roll is solid on the front tire. The back tire's pattern is closer to the original design.
