Brake light came one

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

started the other day...I gunned the car and right before shifted to second with the tach at like 6K the brake light came one just for second and went away....didnt think much of it but this morning i gunned the car and right before going to second it came one but didnt go off.
At the next stop sign as I fully stopped the car it went off. When I took off slow from the stop it didnt come back...till....I gunned it again. It then came on till the next time I fully stopped the car. Did this all the way to work.
This afternoon it never would do it.
Weird. Ideas?

Check your brake fluid level. If the fluid is low it can do that. Maybe the PDI wasn't as good as it should have been. Or maybe you have a small leak in the brake system. Could be it's time for brake pads. As your pads wear the fluid level drops. It's designed to be a warning system before you get into the rotors.

The brake fluid is low, about half the bottle under the hood instead of all the way up. I'll get some after work. Seemed strange that it would show 'brake' only when Im driving the hell out of it at high tach.
Maybe its my guardian angel telling me to slow down :)

You might have just enough brake fluid that under normal conditions, there's enough fluid to prevent the sensor from noticing anything awry. Maybe when you're gunning it, the brake fluid in the master cylinder is sloshing away from the sensor, showing it to be low. Once you start driving normally, the brake fluid doesn't slosh around as much in response to the movements of the car.

that was my same conclusion when I saw the level of the fluid.
I bought some more dot 3 fluid and filled it up. We shall see if that fixes it.
