Hey Digital!

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

with an intake, u cant feel the horsepower, i dont care what anyone tells u. got it installed, have to take the bumper off. well they did when they installed mine, u can ask mr sacks if they did to install his. i love it, it rumbles and the whistle of the air sucking sounds great. it looks very nice too. its very nice out right now and i was thinkin of takin some pics today. the air box is in the grill with takes the air to a box where the filter is. im pretty sure u can go back to stock. this intake shows it makes up to 10 horses on the dyno after 6 rpm, other than that its pretty much stock. after i get by 6 i can hear the intake really kick in, the car gets even louder with it. i trust k and n, and i dont believe the other intakes produce as much power.

Big-- have you looked into Injen's set up? I can't say it is night and day but the intake gives you better throttle response and the sound as you about 4500 rpms is awesome. You can go back to stock after installing this intake like most. its about 250 bucks. Most of these inatkes don't add much hp, but they work in conjunction with headers and exhaust.

nahh lol, its not that little metal thing you stick in the intake tube(wasnt that called the tornado). Its the K&N Typhoon intake and is brand new for the Z. however i dont think it makes 10hp, ive never seen anyone dynoing that high with an intake. the manufactures can claim what they want. Injen claims about 10 for theirs and they certainly dont make that. Im telling you man get the JWT popcharger 109$ shipped and you can do the install yourself cause a 13 year old could do it. you dont need to know anything about cars. itll take about an hour and you can reverse it back to stock in about half that time. no need to remove the bumper, no jack stands, just a wrench to remove and tighten a few bolts. It is very popular and many people have it and it will make the same power as the others and has a sweet whistling sound in the lower rev range when you blip the gas and sounds overall meaner when you get up to the top end. Not saying the typhoon isnt good cause ive heard that it is, but for the $ and the ease of install/use/reversal its got a definite advantage.

If the JWT popcharger wasn't so ugly I'd get it. After having my polished plenum installed and the covers painted it doesn't do the engine bay any justice. Performance wise.. still the best bang for the buck in the intake world.

Installed mine in hour and a half all by myself. Didnt have to take the bumper off. You do got to get your hands in some tight places though. Easy to go back factory.
