A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Does anyone know if Nissan is thinking of going to a Turbo version of the 350Z, i mean, since they've been doing it since 1981. i was just wondering, i think it'd be a great idea for nissan is the costs weren't too much. if i had the money i'd drop a supercharged Titan engine in a Z. That'd be badass. well, peaZe out.

If it's not a Z, then what'll it be? -anonymous :)

There could be a strong possibility. When they said they were going back to the 240Z roots, that's just what that meant. As with the 280ZXT they would just have to make a cast block built to take turbo charging and that could mean more horsepower. They are already competing with it so who knows.

I dont see it happening.

I could forsee a 400Z. Think back, the 3.5L VQ was first introduced in the 2000 Pathfinder, and later ended up in the Maxima, Altima, and finally the 350Z.
The resdesigned 2005 Pathfinder will have the latest variant of the VQ engine at 4.0L !!!
One would think the 4.0L will trickle down to the rest of the Nissan lineup.

The "original" Z priced itself right out of existance - don't think they will make the same mistake twice, even though those TT's were some bad-a$$ machines.
