A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I just got a Z last weekend after debating between a 2003 350Z Enthusiast or a 2003 Mustang Cobra...both around the same exact price. I drove both, loved that supercharged V8 but hated the interior and VERY uncomfortable seats, so opted for the Z.
Ive read the articles here going back a few months over the last day or so and figured I'd join the group. *waves*
Soon as I left the dealer I ran and got a XM unit like whats in my Frontier and had the display put up where the sunglasses holder is. Door still closes fine and looks so much better than clashing somewhere on the dash. Also had a JL sub put where the blank spot for the 'Blose' sub was.
The owner before me had a intake put in, as well as taking out the cloth seating. The leather thats in it now has a Z logo on each seat that I haven't seen in other Zs. This some aftermarket leather job or just something certain cars had? Not sure what else the guy did to it...the car looks a bit lower to me but may be factory springs. The tires are brand new...obviously done by the dealer because that feathering issue.
Advice...comments?

why would you even consider comparing the Z to Mustang for purchase? The Mustang is in the class of Camaros and TransAm

excellent choice, looks like the previous owner also got a shorty antenna, the leather is aftermarket but looks pretty good. the tint looks sweet too.

I have always wanted a stang...have owned stangs in the past. My room mate was with me when I was shopping for a stang (I had a check for 29K from my bank in my pocket) and he told me to check out the 350z.
I went by the Nissan place and they had a fresh trade in there just screaming at me. Test drove it and had to have it :)
And yes, the tint job was done very well I must say.

I dont know where the seats got done...i dont know the previous owner. He did leave a carfax report in the glove box..that was sort of cool.
I do know I like the leather better than the ones I see with the tiny little holes in them on other Z's.
I'll try to take some better pics soon of the seats.
I really want to get some front blinker clears and those BMW Z4 style side blinkers under the logo.
And after seeing the success with the chrone door trim front grille on lot of the pics here I have to give that a shot this weekend.

If you have to ask...I call my cars my girls. I take it though that its sarcasm I'm reading.
And in the Macon, Georgia area a used Z is hard to find. Two in the entire Macon area as far as large dealerships. I didn't look for individuals selling out of yards or no name dealerships. I'm sure in larger towns its a different story.
If you want a pick up truck....now thats on every street corner around here.

Definately the case up there in macon. Its not much different even in atlanta. Most "big ballers" up there drive escalades.....
