Rx8 is actually not slower than 350z. Watch both guys with their opinion at the end of the test. Is 350z not practical at all?

Could the red color steering wheel fit on my black 350z track? I kind of like the steering of rx8. Not just the color but the steering wheel has more fat and looks like from the racing car.

I think rotary needs some more years under it's belt before I'd look for one. Like, how does it act around 100K miles? How expensive is maintenance down the road?
The answers to my questions may be that it lasts forever and never requires a dime spent on it...but even so...if its such a wonderful thing and the wave of the future, I'll wait for several cars to offer the rotary engine to choose from.

there was a video of rx-8 vs g35 vs wrx vs s2000 vs rsx-r vs miata and rx-8
finished second to last place. IMO i think the rx-8's look good. but there is no way a rx-8 can keep up with 350z in a straight line. if you go to a rx-8 forum, the best time at the strip was 14.5 1/4. if you go to my350z.com the fastest time was 13.68 1/4. given that both are decent drivers, 350z will win.

I've driven an RX-8, and my butt-dyno tells me that the 350Z has WAY more power. However, the wankel engine is fun because you can wind it up to 9K rpm...

rx8 gets very poor gas mileage. just from spending time on rx8forum.com the average mixed city/hwy is around 16 mpg. some ppl have gotten up to 23 on the hwy i think. i've seen many z owners report 30mpg hwy.
