Whatever it is it's probably minor. Like the other guy mentioned, the cover under the engine isn't secure. Spoiler under the front bumber. Some plastic piece probably just came loose.

I don't know about everyone else but I have found at high speeds if you have the windows down there is a helicopter like sound from the wind coming in. Or, and I know this probably isn't it but the passenger side seatbelt has a clip that keeps it snug agenst the car so it doesn't flap in the wind. I only had these two thought because I love to drive with the windows down and that's what I have experienced. Good luck fixing the hobgoblin theory. They are tuff to get rid of. A chupakabra is a little easier to fix.

If you drive with one window down, the helicopter sensation you experienced is normal and not exclusive to the Z. It comes from air trying to get out the same way it is coming in. If you roll the other window down, it should greatly reduce this noise.
