I ran into this a few weeks ago. When I picked up my Z from the dealer after getting free new tires, it read 57 on a 85-90 degree day. I watched it for the 20 mins to work and it crept up to 61, still inaccurate. I called them and made an appointment to see it, but the next day it was ok. Has been ok for 3 weeks. Never did take it in.

Thats what mine is doing. Left work at 71 degrees. Drove to my womans apartment and it barely crept up to 77. Bout 15 minute drive. Hopefully all will be well tomorrow. The only thing abnormal I did today than usual is put up a sunguard in the window. Go figure

it's a thermometer, not a temperature gauge. Sure, no big deal but...you'll thank me when you try to report innacurate readings on your "temperature gauge" to your dealer.

I believe I read somewhere that the sensor is under the hood near the front grille. I could be wrong.

Mine reads high most of the time, especially after it has been sitting in the sun for extended periods. Never seems to get back down to anything close to accurate. BUT, I don't need a thermometer to tell me it is hot outside anyway and seems to work well in winter.

I drove the beater to work today and let the z rest in the garage. Maybe letting it set for a day will correct itself.
