nice.....now whats up with that automatic thing?
A:
lol.

The automatic thing? LOL!!!!
That has to do with the local dealer mispricing on their web site the first two 2004 coupes they recieved in August last year. They posted the price of both at dealer cost. Both had automatic transmissions. I called them on it and they immediately took down their web site and made corrections to full MSRP as their "internet special" price. Nonetheless, they sold me this one at the price I saw. Would I have preferred the 6-speed? Probably, but on the other hand, living in the metro Phoenix area traffic can be a bit of a traffic nightmare and the automatic handles it well.
The automatic thing? Ha!!!!
Daddy: Thanks for the assist!!!

yeah, the z is fun when there is nothing around to keep you from shifting, but in traffic, dude, I'd almost rather walk.
A:
the screen has 6 different viewing angles, I was going to get one, but opted for the pioneer AVIC unit instead.
A:
What use do you guys make of these TV's in your cars?
A:
Sorry about the delayed response. I've been away.
No, didn't get the music Keg but do have Sirius satellite radio. I mounted the antenna for that on the right side of the strut in back and it works very well.
All speakers were replaced except for the 2 tweeters in the door above the A/C vents. The 4 main speakers were replaced with Alpine 6.5" 2-ways and an Alpine subwoofer was installed in the usual location behind the driver seat. I also added a Rockford Fosgate 200W amp to drive the speakers. Not deafening power but more than enough for me.
Concerning the display, the angle of the mounty, when the display is in its fully collapsed position, is such that overhead sunlight does wash the screen out. Angling the screen to any of its 6 other positions makes things worse. It would be nice if Kenwood offered a small hood that would block overhead light. Once the sun sets the display is beautiful.
Over-all I am extremely happy with the system. The original Nissan (non-Bose) system made my ears hurt and I couldn't live with it.
Kenwood offers a bunch of options for this receiver such as Navigation, TV tuner, rear-view camera, and 5.1 DD sound. I may add the TV tuner at some point but my main reason for getting this system was to install something that looked and sounded good in the car and to get rid of the original Nissan unit. I have no plans to watch DVDs while driving but that may be something an occasional passenger would enjoy, particularly on a road trip.
Law requires that the unit be installed so that the DVD function is disabled while driving if the screen is visible to the driver. That is not difficult to overcome though.
