A&Q about 350Z
Q:
this can surely be accomplished just order your car from the dealer and be involved in the process. and make sure you make it very clear that you want to be notified when your car arrives and that you do not want anyone else driving it or else you wont accept it
A:
Being that I am a young guy, with decent credit. With a 10k down payment should my APR be pretty low?
I want to order one, cause I don't want anyone else in it. I just wasn't sure if they frowned down upon having to order one special for someone. I thought they'd just find one off another lot for you.
But, hopefully they wont give me a fuss.
My parents are probably tired of hearing about the car already! I still have like 6 months left. When you order it, you put money down on it? or what?
I'll have the money in January, but it'd be great if i could order it around there and get it later on...closer to graduation from graduate school.
Still debating on colors. my mom likes the orange. I say black. we'll see.

I put 2k down on it. Paid another 13k when I got it. Financed 15k at 3.9% interest. Im 26 and never had a car loan before and its in my name with no cosigner.

So, if I put 2k down, and paid 8k when I got it...possibly 9, I should be able to get financed, ya think? thatd be awesome. I'm 22.
How'd you get it cheaper by ordering it, instead of taking one off the lot?
A:
z32dood, not always. a lot of times, sure. not always.
consider:
KBB value of 2001 S4 with 49000 miles: $21000
Loan on S4: $20000
Price of 350Z Track with Nav (may 2003): $36000
Tax, tag, etc.: $2500
Total for 350Z: $38500
they give me $26000 for S4. i owe $20000. net diff = $6000. i essentially paid $32500 for a track 350Z. with NAV & Taxes. $0 down too, i might add. feathering thrown in at no charge.
regardless of the give or take, i got a good deal.

I don't have a trade in, so that's not gonna be a part of the deal at all. I don't want to be nit picky and try to look for things either to get a "deal." I'd rather just go in, order it, pay my money, and wait for it to come. None of this looking at the windshield nonsense...but that is a good idea.
I think I may have decided on white with black interior. I think I'll be ordering in February...I know it's like 9 months away...but it'll be here before we know it.

does anyone know much about just taking a loan out at your local bank? i was told today, that this is sometimes better, because you can pay cash, and sometimes the dealer will give you a little break. also, it gives you the title immediately, and insurance is lower.
anyone know anything about this?
just wondering?
A:
by the way...i opened my Z fund today!!!!!!!
A:
If you get a loan from the bank, you do have to list the bank as a leinholder even though you pay the dealer cash. The bank will insist as a way of covering their investment.
If you do this, you MAY have a little more power with the dealer to get a good price. Not like if you just have the cash though.
I went to the bank and got pre-approved for the ammount I needed at 5.75%. Then I went to the dealer and they wanted me to finance through them (they make money on the interest that way) and they beat my bank's interest rate (5.1%), thereby saving me money.
