A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Would lower/higher the tires pressure soften the stiff ride on the Z?
My Z Touring roadster gives me stiffer ride than before.
It is still fine on well paved roads but most roads in the Bay area are just "well torned ".
A:
Your tires will have uneven wear patterns if you use unreccomended tire pressures.
If they're overinflated, the center will wear before the outer edges. If they're underinflated, the edges will wear before the center. It's advisable to stick to the recommended pressures.

Hey all,
Question: what are the dimensions of the tires on the Z? I saw Saks post about the tire pressures above of 35 psig and 40 psig. If somebody could tell me what the diameter of the tire is, the diameter of the wheel, and the width of the tire, I can figure out how hot the tires are when running.
I estimated 18" rims, 24" total tire diameter, and 7" width. I'm sure these are not right so maybe somebody can educate me - it's hard to visualize a tire when sitting in my office.
anyway, with those numbers, if you measure 35 psig cold (about 77F) and 40 psig hot, the temperature has risen to 130F when driving.
interesting, eh? uselss, but interesting.
