It'll be interesting to see how much your ownership experience improves.

Thanks for the update TX350Z. It will be interesting if others have the same experience that had the latest alignment specs done. I am still waiting for my "official letter" from Nissan that gives the additional 12 month warranty and plan on waiting til the last few weeks of the extended warranty before getting new tires.

Hey Zoom, the the earlier under the wire, the more free trips to the mess hall! If ya know what I mean... I'm keeping mine, Damn It! giZmo

I just find great humor (and irony) in your desire for an extreme specialty car like the Elise. I can't imagine it will provide fewer problems for an American buyer than a more mainstream vehicle like your 350Z, yet you seem ready to embrace it with joy in your heart.
As I said, I can't wait for the 2006 Elise forum. Just choose txElise as your member name so we'll be able to spot you, okay?
Good luck.
And I am sorry about your tires. It has to be frustrating.

100,000 units sold? That means Nissan doubled production and sales for 2004 (there were only 37,000 units built in 2003, some are still on dealer lots).

ok, so 74000 vs. 100000 doesn't change the message one bit. it's noise. WE are noise. the internet has a strange way of amplifying noise. case and point: the "media" (cnn, msnbc, fox - all noise generators with an accuracy less than 50%), and weblogs.

Closer to 40k for '03 and '04.
Know the fack before talking smack.
Pretty clever, huh?
A:

No, I'm asserting that you are an idiot.

just try going on the same tires for 30,000 miles and you will see what it is really like. I noticed it on my Touring 03 after 30000.....yeah I love to drive my car, but if this is a Nissan issue then they need to fix it. I am also in Texas. What happens if they don't? 1) Tires get really expensive after a while 2) You get rid of your car......either way you really can't say that your Z wasn't fun to drive. I have had people that owned Vettes say that they enjoy the Z more than their C4,C5, ZO6. Saddened to hear about you getting rid of your Z. I own a 1993 and an '03 both red, and they are a blast!!!! Happy driving
