got to drive three porches on saturday

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Well, I got the OK to race my roadster at Pocono raceway's road course. So, I'll get the chance to see how the 350z will do against the 911's and Z-06 Vette's. There's usually a bunch of 911's and Vettes on the track.

By looking at the lap time, on average, I guess the most basic 911 is not slower than 350z stock at all, and what about the top of the line Boxter type S ?

we need to get nissan to build us a reliable twin turbo Z. The Z32 VG30DETT is twin turbo and pretty reliable!

350ZNewbie,
Since you are a former 911 owner I won't argue with you, since I have never owned a 911 before hehehe.
You are right the 350Z was designed to crush the Boxster... when Nissan did the marketing on the 350Z they advertised "Places to go, Porches to pass". The 350Z is definitely faster than the Boxster, about as fast as the Boxster S.
I didn't know that the Z can keep up with the basic 911, good to know.
The GT-R will compete favorably with the 911 Turbo (or so rumors say as to the GT-Rs target). With a *rumored* 480HP Twin-Turbo V6 and AWD Nissan should be able to meet that goal. (The 911 Turbo Cabriolet does 0-60 in 4.3 secs, I hope Nissan is able to match that in the GT-R).
