A&Q about 350Z
Q:
First of all, the sound is amazing, after all the posts I've read about the sound being "not that different" I don't know what to tell ya, it is. It's very deep and throaty, like a V8. With a quick rev it gives a little raspy sound going back down in RPMs, very nice. There are a little rattles when I hit big pot-holes but nothing major. I was amazed at how heavy the stock mufflers was compared to the Borla, big improvement.
The piping isn't that hard to install but i would recommend a lift, it only took a friend and I about an hour and a half. If you get it I would recommend after installing the piping to hit it a few times to see if it would touch any part of the car in a bumpy condition, also check for leaks, the area where the H pipe comes together has to be pushed together while closing the clamp to make a good seal. What we did was I got in the car and held it at 2000 RPMs while my friend under the lift checked for leaks, he found about 3 places that needed to be tightened.
I LOVE the way the tips look, the ring inside the tip looks very nice plus it has the Borla logo on the top of it, just visible if you get close enough. All in all I'd say the system is worth it. I can tell the difference in performance at higher RPMs, but the sound is second to none. I recommend it.
This link provided a lot of help with the install and pics are great:
