Cicada's

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I am in Delaware and the bulk of the crop hasn't come yet. It will be insane in July and August when they mature. Holy Cicada!
A:

At least they wont be back every year. I read this is their first time out in 17 years to find mates.

Cicada's only come out every 15-17yrs to reproduce and to to rebuild there nests and reshed there exo-skelitons. Don't ask how i know....lol. Yeah they do some damage in many aspects of a car, from the paint to overheating of the car (due to clogging of radiator fins). They bite too!

I live in MD & commute to VA...I've had to keep the top up on sunny afternoons to keep the critters from hitching a ride when I stop. They're everywhere. The clearbra is saving my paint from those that don't get out of the way fast enough, but it's hard to see through the ones splattered on the windsheild. Glad it's only every 17 years.
