steering wheel is very stiff

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

It's not so much the camber that makes a wheel feel stiff, it's the incredible amount of caster (this is what brings your wheel back to center when you let go) in the car. This is also what causes the severe understeer in the car. Most cars with some sort of traction control in them now have lot's of caster, it's easier for them to model and control a car that understeers horribly than one that is neutral or oversteers.

A stiff steering wheel on the Z.That is a funny one!
A:

yea its probably just from driving a different car around...I drive a pretty large truck around for work and the steering wheel is huge and the steering is really light and pretty bad. after 10hrs of that today i got back in my Z and it was ridiculous. the steering wheel looked like a little donut and i had to use so much extra effort to turn it. But it surely makes me appreciate the handling of my Z that much more.

I don't own a z car yet but i am the proud owner of an altima gxe. It's a '95 and the steering wheel is STILL very tight. The turning radius sucks at slower speeds but you should notice that it evens out at higher rates of speed. I can barely parallel park the altima, but I can take a 25mph corner at 90!!!
