supercharger, over 400+ horse at crank

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

anyone got turbos or supercharger on their 350? how u like it, any problems? stillen reliable supercharger , but a little low on power output. greddy , dont know how i feel about the reliability of throwin 2 turbos in the car. vortech seems to have the greatest power output. anybody have this supercharger, or know of anyone with the supercharger?
A:

i met a guy at the motorsport auto show who installs the vortechs in the 350.the company is called the zcargarage.com.he brought down a customers car.so far with about 3k since it was done no problems.he drove it from san jose to irvine wich are both in california incase your not familiar.probably around 350 miles or so. his wifes car has it and it has 5k since it was installed no problems.my suggestion would be wait to see what happens how reliable these cars are with the turbos, superchargers, etc.to do it right would be to do a complete tear down and rebuild for the horse power.i don't see those engines getting 100k miles.do a good exhaust popcharger and maybe some cams.that will give you some really nice affordable horse power.probably around 320hp at the flywheel.i know someone who works for mossy nissan performance who had all that plus headers and was putting out around 340hp at the fly wheel.his car hauled ass a definite difference for the fraction of the cost.good luck.

i will be installing the Greddy TT kit very soon, and it is quite reliable in basic form. Greddy set it up to run at its lowest efficiency to run safely with the stock motor, although I will be beefing up the internals so I can crank up the boost to 500 hp. The turbos allow for easier tuning and increasing of power, while the superchargers are rather limited...I was going for the vortech but decided on the Greddy.
Also...the Greddy tt kit comes with e- manage piggyback for the ecu to tune the timing and A/F ratio perfectly, AND comes with upgraded fuel injectors.
A:

What do these kits do to the engine lifespan?
A:

people seem to think a power adder shortens the life of the engine for some reason. maybe the tendency to drive a higher hp car a little harder can cause a shorter engine lift if not properly cared for...who romps on a dx honda civic?
A:

basically it depends on the setup. Im rebuilding the engine i.e. forged rods and pistons, balanced and blueprinted etc. This will pretty much make the life of my engine LONGER, even with high horsepower, unless Im revving it like crazy and just being stupid, which, well, will shorten the life of any engine. Most of the time most kits will not do any harm or shorten the life of a stock engine, if kept in original specs, example the Greddy kit is rated at like almost 400 hp at only 5 psi of boost. That is fine for a stock engine. Just dont expect the stock engine to hold up if you crank it to 20 psi.
A:

ure turbos r gonna be awesome. so how soon until we get to see this? gotta make a video and put it online
A:

Basically Im saving up to do it all at once. Ive talked to the guys at Titan Motorports down here in Orlando and they are going to do it, but the tt kit is CRAZY back-ordered. Im about halfway on the money, about 15-20k for everything including install and dyno tuning. Since I work on commision hopefully I can make the rest of the cash flow quickly enough to get this done by the time they get the kit in. But as of now we arent sure yet.
Believe me there will be a video. i might try to be there enough to video most of the dyno tuning, but that depends on my work.

digital DOES NOT own a 350Z....period.
He's been bullshitting everyone on this forum....the people down the street do, not him.
