What a pointless use of resources. And at the end, even if they don't crash, what do they have to show for all the tire smoke, fried clutches, and overworked engines?
Thanks for the vid, Daddy. I'd heard about drifting, but hadn't seen any until today. I don't think I need to see any more ...

drifting rules
A:
im no to familiar with drifting but it does require alot of skill to be good at. I think its pretty cool as well. some of the really good guys are just ridiculous the way they can control the car.

Drifting is nice and all but some people just take it too crazy. It does however produce nice pictures. I'm sure we remember when Nissan use to show those commercials of the previous Maxima (01-02 design) where they'd have it "drifting" through the desert. Come to think of it, lots of car manufactures like to advertise their car in some sort of drift.
Still shots of cars in a drift are nicer than if the car wasn't moving at all.
Example A:
Example B:
Example C: Yes.. Even the 4100 lbs Chrysler 300C can "drift"
A:
That Chrysler 300 video is insane!!
I love drifting. Can't afford new tires every weekend for the Z and it's real hard to do in the FWD Prelude. So. I'll just watch it on t.v.
A:
The second picture is a 180sx. Same as a 240sx hatchback.

"The second picture is a 180sx. Same as a 240sx hatchback."
Where do you get 180SX from. I just said it's a 300ZX or 300ZR. Goodness.

Attention to detail people! Only 200ZR's/300ZR's are right hand drive. Now stop freaking arguing!

A:
actually a 180sx is righthand drive. Japanese version of the 240sx hatchback, and that is whats in the picture, it just has an aftermarket front end that allows the flipups to be seen down.
A:
thats 300 chrysler wasnt drifting...it was sliding because of momentum...then they started spinning the tires. Drifting is a bit different.

"Attention to detail people! Only 200ZR's/300ZR's are right hand drive. Now stop freaking arguing!"
WTF? Do people not pay attention or something? FairladyZs were also right hand drive. Also, 200ZRs didn't have flared fenders. Why don't people pay attention. I SAID IT'S EITHER A 300ZX (FAIRLADYZ) OR 300ZR!
A:
so.

That second pic is not a 180SX or 240SX! Look at the damn fender and quarter panel flares AND the T-Tops AND the side mirrors AND the square door handles AND the beltline crease!!! The 180SX and 240SX NEVER had T-Tops! And the mirrors are very different then the 180SX and 240SX! Sorry to yell but come on people, you guys should know your NISSAN's!!! Ven100 is correct.
P.S. Every car made for Japan is right hand drive.
