James Burgess ripped off 2 eBay customers for $925 each and then never sent either one the product. After both customers paid thru PayPal, he sent an email stating he would send the GPS units thru UPS the next day and provide us the tracking numbers. That was April 22nd, 2004. That was the last email received from James Burgess of Uniontown, PA. Needless to say, we never received the GPS units either. He walked away with almost 2 grand!
Here's the link where he ripped me off! Don't let the "seller name" fool you. Look at the shipping instructions at the bottom and you will see his email address. In his emails, he represented himself as James Burge, but his PayPal account is James Burgess.

James has an interesting background. He has swindled others before on eBay. You won't notice this at first glance. He has a following of "friends" that have Datsun/Nissans and is good at working on and teching cars. Behind that facade, he is someone you really need to watch. He even bragged on-line where he had some "free" money coming so he could now decide what he wanted to buy for his car! Coincidence? I'll let a panel of 12 decide that.

Additionally, it has been proven that he has faked his death by getting an announcement issued by a local newspaper over the internet. Additionally, Delta Dawn emailed me a fake death certificate that they had “photoshopped” using her own sisters death certificate, who had died of gross obesity in just February of this year. SHAME ON YOU DELTA DAWN! I verified the fake document with the Uniontown’s local coroner who filed a complaint with the local State Police. They are investigating. Link to the fake death cert is here.

Additionally, here’s what you don’t normally see if you are not the buyer or seller of an auction on eBay:

Please notice that the use of DATTOZED has been conveniently generated and used across several Datsun websites, starting at the same time that James was supposed to have “passed away”. Once he even answered the sympathies of Delta Dawns loss and later suggesting someone buy his car. What happened to his car? He sold it to Delta Dawn’s now deceased sister husband over a year ago! I can fax proof to anyone who asks.
Swe280z, don’t feel bad, you can still find James Burgess in Uniontown. I’ll give you his address if you want!
Since the “death” of James Burgess, several attempts have been made by “Delta”, (really James) to the sysops of different car forums asking for donations to cover his funeral expenses. Fortunately, they were smart enough to not post those requests.
