Birds@$t

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Had my garage kept, never rained on, black Track in the driveway for a couple of hours while I did some maintenance on my other car. Sometime during the day a bird **** on my car and by the time I noticed, the birdshit had dried. I wet the area down and wiped it off with a soft cotton cloth. I guess this bird was eating rocks because the dried droppings scratched the hell out of my paint. I don't know whether to be pissed at the bird or Nissan for using paint that can be scratched by bird ****. The moral, if a bird shits on your car, be careful wiping it off! AAAHHH!!!

I did't get scratches on my black Z when removing bird biohazard but i did get a permanent stain. So depending on the bird's diet, it seems that black paint Z owners are condemned to be punished with one or the other.
A:

dont you guys have anything to think about?
A:

Bird **** on my black track six or seven times in the driveway since I owned the car (April 2003). My car didn't get the scratches and not even a stain. Most of the time I wiped it off with the wet bounty towel (also used bottle water to splash), after the birdshit had dried.
Probably the quality of the paint are not necessary the same for every 350z, but if that is not true, then I could only think of different kind of birds that produce different substances in their ****, or Montgomery county has softer rocks lol!

black cars show stratches more then other colors too

I had a bird crap my car and I immediately washed the car as soon as I got off of work. It still produced the dreaded stain in the clearcoat. I tried washing & waxing the area repeatedly but with no results. I then came across a products called Meguiar's Scratch X. I applied 3 applications of the stuff and finished it off with a wax and looks good as new. I originally thought my problem was fixed until I washed my car off. When I did, the spot reappeared. I repeated the whole process and the stain is gone again. It's a temporary fix, but it's better then having to shell out the cash everytime a bird takes a dump. By the way, I have a Chrome Silver Z (so it does show up on other Zs as well).
Apparently this Scratch X is supposed to get swirl marks out of black cars pretty good.

That's because the wax is a protective layer between your car and the dangerous world outside. Waxing also protects against oxidation, overspray, and stupidity. The only thing wax won't provide some measure of protection against are rock chips.
Wax: it's not just for looks
Wax: Can you afford not to?
Wax: The breakfast of champions
LOL.

You think removing bird turd is hard on cars? Try getting it out of your hair and clothes.
How'd they find my picture?

That crap was on my black car again yesterday, wiped it as usual (Paper towel + with drinking water). Either I am always lucky or Nissan put a special paint on my car. By the way, I wash my car every week end (high pressure spray wash with foam brush), but never been waxed.

Uh oh better get Zaino!

Try Meguiars Scratch X. Good Luck!
