A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I realize people compliment a car always from the look. If my car has so much power but doesn't have the look, no body is going to come and said "you have such a powerful car". At the gas station a boxter driver came to me and said I have such a nice looking car. He is one of the hundreds that said the same thing since I owned 350z, (my previous car was wrx, and nobody ever came to me for compliment). I said his boxter also looks wonderful, but he said "not to compare with 350z, I love this car".
Now (coming to this subject), I am wondering if he is really serious about the statement he made. I always think porsche is one of the most beautiful car ever produced. (Probably my next car, if I have enough money), is GT3.
What do you all think about boxter?
isn't it a very nice looking car ? I really like to know the subjective thinking of you.
Which of the car (350z or Boxter) looks nicer ? more expensive ? and more exotic ?
Lets assumed both cars are new, same brand name, inside with the same material. Just "the look or feel" from outside. Forget about WRX.

i have porsche drivers pulling up to me all the time or stopping me at gas stations looking with envy at my le mans roadster. i got plenty of compliment even when i had a silverstone coupe (yes i've owned both!) the z is just a beautiful freakin car. the lines are hot and not so extreme it needs to grow on you or only a true gear head could appreciate. there are many cars out there that perform just as well or even better than a z in the price range, but they definitely suffer in the looks department. the z is hot - plain and simple. it appeals to EVERYONE. porsches, they can get kinda "bullet" looking, although gearheads like us can appreciate what is under the body. the z is a great balance of everything. it has a dual appeal. the people who know how much they cost look in envy knowing that it is quite possible to own one themselves. the people who don't know how much they cost envy it as something they wish they could afford.

I'm pretty sure a porsche owner wouldn't be looking on it as something they wish they could afford. Maybe a base boxster owner....

looks wise I think the z edges out the boxster but if you drive the Boxster you will realize the difference immediatley. It's a Porsche! There is no substitute!

As 350zNewbie mentioned, the porsche look isn't exactly spankingly new. The 350z look is. It takes a gt2/3 to get my attention really.

I would hope that a GT2 would grab anyone's attention. Man that's a very sweet car.

The GT2 price tag will grab your attention also!!!

You're right the Porsches of today still look like the old ones. The Z has undergone major body style changes three times from the original 240. But I think the original Z was modeled after the Jaguar not the Porsche.
Just my two cents.
