Fred- glad to see you are getting your Z out to run this year. Which track and sanction were you running. Our little Colorado Z group has run two times at LaJunta and had a great time. It does seem the standard rear brakes are hard on pads- how are your rotors holding up? Also, hope you're not BUYING those 040s- there are better tires out there.

Dave Zeckenhausen suggested I bug Porterfield to put a racing compound on the rear blanks I have now. No, I have no plans to buy SE 040's again but many here badmouth them and I don't think they've given them an unbiased trial.
The event was SCR with the BMW Club. Great weekend and turnout. A different group each day. Best rides I had as an instructor were both FWD, a Mini and a Celica.
Didn't want to brave the cold at LaJunta but will be at SCR again June 5th.
