A&Q about 350Z

i just took my 350 to the dealership for the second oil change and i bought semi-synthetic 5w30 to put in it. the dealership uses 10w30 and that is what my car has had in it to this point. but now than i put the other oil in there, the engine seems alot rougher than it did. any thoughts on this?

If you're thinking you can feel the difference in oil, in the "seat of your pants", I think you're imagining things. Purveyors of various oils may tell you different but then again, they're oil salesmen.

"rougher" like noiser, more rattling? Yes, you might get more valvetrain noise with a lower viscosity oil, depending on the climate.

i think that for most people they wouldn't even notice, but for me it seems like slightly more vibration from the engine.
