Filling the tranny

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

gear oil pump, ask the parts guy.
A:

You will have a time getting the correct oil since the 350Z uses a special type that is not in most parts stores. The gear oil is 75w 85 weight so if you are going to drain your oil in the transmission you will need the aforementioned type to keep the warranty in effect. If you are going to get a different oil you better have the correct oil when you take the car to the dealer. Since there have been so many problems associated with the transmission Nissan is requiring their oil in the transmission to keep the warranty in effect. Now here is the fun part. Go to the dealer and see if there is any of this oil at their store. I have checked three local dealerships and they do not even know what I am talking about and the courtesynissan.com guys say they would only have it in a 55 gallon drum. It even gets more interesting in that the parts guys without the transmission service bulletin show the transmission fluid to be the same part number that goes in the automatic transmission.
A:

The tolerances are too tight to run straight 90 weight in the transmission. If you do it will be hard to shift into first and second until the transmission warms up.
A:

MT-90 is 75w90, not straight 90.
