You can put a baby in the front seat if there is no back seat in most states. You need an air bag cutoff switch however if you want to make it as safe as possible.

If you look just behind the speaker on the passanger side seat you will find a flap and a hook with a baby seat anchor.

i'm hoping this is a temporary thing. a baby seat in the front is not a good idea. If's its a small baby capsule, you need to be careful also which way the seat is facing. I woulda hired a car or borrowed a friends car who has a kid. Hear in Oz you need to get baby car seats fitted by a professional - its not a DIY ob.

Yeah I'm sure you can find someone to trade cars with for a couple weeks--your Z for his Camry. After all, it's your baby... and then you have that infant to worry about, too.

The dealer will install the airbag disconnect switch. I have read about it on past threads. I do not know the cost though.

The dealer will install one, but only after you waive Nissan's responsiblity for ANY injury or death for you, any passengers, and any future owners (and thier passengers) including if Nissan is willfully negligent (and if the airbag fails to deploy when not off).
I've got the form if you want to see how bad it really is. My take on this is fine, I'll be responsible for MY passenger IF the airbag is off, but otherwise I expect everything else to work as designed.
