yeah... big problem... i've had my springs replaced and it still does that... when it's cold the gas shocks will not hold up either... i first found this out when i went to get y books from my trunk and my trunk lid fell on my head...

I implored the "penny trick" because each time I brought the car to the dealer they couldn't replicate the issue. Yeah right.
You can pull off the springs and insert 2 pennies under the spring in each side. It gives the spring enough tension to popup the hatch completely. It's like a 5 minutes fix and you don't have to leave your car at the dealer.
