Guys,
Does the car alarm turn on automatically? I thought a few times it did. Before I wash my car, I disable the alarm, next half hour, I cannot open the door (never open the door in the first place, just disabling it).

Mine does funky things when I leave work. One push on unlock, release hatch with fob, dust car, press hatch relase button above plate. Car locked.
One of those Evil Nissan things, I suppose.
And before anyone starts bagging on the dusting after work: try living in the southern San Joaquin valley. There's dirt in every breath out here. Sometimes too breezy to get the car cover on (worse is getting it off!)

Your question's a little cryptic so forgive me if I'm off point but, my "Z" is the same as my wife's Camry. If you unlock the doors with the fob, and don't actually open the door within a specified amount of time, it will re-lock itself.

I have found out that if you turn the alarm off and you dont open either of the doors then it will re-arm itself. Good idea. If you accidentally turn it off then you wont have to worry about someone just opening the door. I like it.
