Basically, does anybody know if the pistons in our engine are forged?

no, but you can buy aftermarket ones.

Im pretty sure it doesnt, about 98% sure. I KNOW you can UPGRADE to forged pistons, implying that it doesnt come with them. Although if it came factory with a turbo Im sure it would. Perhaps if they introduce a turbocharged version of the engine in future years...
