A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I have a '03 350z track edition and am in the process of obtaining a used Bose system that was available in the touring model. I am wondering if the non-Bose cars are already pre-wired for the Bose system or am I going to need to re-wire it?
Just trying to understand how big of a job it is going to be to install the Bose system in my track edition.
Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't pay for the Bose system, I might not even take it if it were free. Why not go aftermarket? Buy an Alpine deck and some new speakers? For 400 or 500 bucks your sound could be greatly improved and better then what that factory Bose set up.

I haven't never known about the touring model, but I could tell you that 350z track version (unless some mod) is not designed for big sound system, or the wall will shake and give you a boomy plastic echo sound.

The car is pre-wired for the Bose. But, it is not really that good of a system and unless you get it for a screaming deal I would go with the aftermarket too. That is what I did and it is excellent.
A:
Are you getting the ENTIRE Bose unit (HU, AMP, Sub, and Speakers)? If you are only getting the head unit you will have to get an aftermarket amp to drive the speakers, as the Bose HU does not have an internal amp. I also believe you need a line converter if you are not doing an entire swap.
