A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I spoke to the tech that worked on my car after this post, and he said that the Intake was rubbing on the * high pressure A/C hose * that is right under the CAI Intake. This * rubbing * caused a small cut on the hose. I've had my Injen CAI for 14 months now. A/C went out 3 few weeks ago.
Anyways, they said that they would honor my warranty * this time * - but that I was on my own if it happened again regardless of my warranty.
Any other thought/suggestions?
Thanks!

Make sure that you have clearance when the engine revs. That way the hose will not rub on the ac lines.

Wow. I had no idea anyone was having this problem. I have a Nismo CAI, and the dealer has a hose on order for my a/c. However, the never blamed it on the CAI.

just out of curiosity, how much hp have these CAIs shown to gain on the dyno?
Whatever it does gain, most likely comes from freeing up the intake, because the "cool" air that your pulling through your filter is going to get heated in the aluminum (excellent heat trasnfer!) intake manifold that has 180 degree engine coolant flowing through it.
