A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Guys,
Just called the local nissan dealer (where I purchased the car) and asked them if the JWT would passed smog test in Ca and they say yes. Also, the warranty would not be affected. I am picking up this week.
Thanks,
Tony

let me know if you guys have any questions

The washers suggestion is a good one. I personally used several rubber washers. I find they not only add height adjustment in getting the metal Charger cone off the air conditioning line and add some energy dissipation to the Charger which vibrates/flexes when driving..

I'm trying to create a device using a small scoop like object which goes under the car (not seen to the visible eye) with a hose to shoot air directly to the JWT. Hope Depot here I come.

You got it......just what I'm thinking
A:
yea..if your registered over at my350z.com a guy over there did a similar thing and had pictures and everyhting and looked really clean. It may ease the process as you could work off what he had already done. I think he used some sheet aluminum as well to cover the top of the popcharger.

I just installed mine two days ago. It was a very easy install which took me about 30 minutes. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. After the install I started the car and didn't hear any difference but when I took it out on the road and put the gas down man the sound was awesome. The car now sounds like it has a jet engine. As for horsepower it's hard to say but just the change in sound was worth the $120. I'm taking my Z to San Diego next week to have a custom exaust system installed by a guy who does systems for race cars. I can't wait to see what happens then. I'm really glad I didn't go with a cold air intake.
