Debadging Z emblem with hair dryer

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Does anyone have detailed directions on how to do this. I know it is preety self explanatory, but I just want to make sure i dont burn paint or anything like that :-X
A:

A hairdryer is not going to damage the paint if you do not concentrate the heat in one spot too long. You just want to get the emblem warm and that will make the double sided foam tape soft to expedite removal. Use your fingernails and pry and you might use a plastic knife to help. But, do not place against the paint or you will scratch it. I pried mine off with my hand.
A:

Heat the badge up with a hair dryer...you wont burn the paint...and also try fishing line. Put it around the side, and pull it with both hands so it gets under the sticky tape and breaks the bond with the paint. That's how I did mine....front is more tricky...I used a flat screwdriver wrapped in a sock to get one end up and get the fishing line underneath.

Now do this and you'll get it done in half time. open up your hood, get the hair dryer behind the badge through the small open area front of the radiator and heat it up for about 5 minutes or so, times may vary.THAT WAY YOU WONT HARM THE PAINT.you must have a smaller size hair dryer. with your other hand start to move the badge up and down to loosen it and you'll see how fast it'll start to get loose. then when it's time to get it off use a credit card to separate the badge from the bumper very, very gently. NO SCREW DRIVER OF ANY KIND. use the credit card for the rear badge as well. the rear one takes lot longer. I got mine done in about 20 minutes and looks great. very proffessionally done. good luck.

How long do you have to keep the damn thing heated before it comes off. Also, is there any leftover stciker off the symbol?
A:

Are you doing this to replace with the after market z emblems from courtesy? or just leaving them off for a clean look???
A:

Why on earth do you all want to debadge your Z? Just so you can be different? Absolute immature stupidity in my book. Same thing that those young punk ricers do..... debadge their ride. Doing this pretty much proves your age.
The car looks beautiful badged as is. It's there for a reason. Go ahead, debadge your little heart out. Maybe so some of you fools can try to say, "hey look at my Porsche 911". LMAO
A:

who are you? the mod god or something. some people like the cleaner look of the car. If you go aftermarket you usually wont have the badge there either. The Nismo looks great without the badge. I would love to rip that cheesburger nissan emlem off the back of mine and put a nice big Z there but I dont think there are any good ones out. besides the damn holes are behind it too. oh well.
A:

I think I mentioned about 5 minutes or so, kinda on and off. you'll know when to stop.Do not rush and do not force anything.
