3rd gear not smooth

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

all i can say is get another tranny.
A:

Nissan will barely give you new tires, much less a new tranny.
A:

Now that was an intelligent and well researched post.
A:

Nissan SHOULD give everybody a rattle-ree interior and a ride which does not bounce like a continuous sine wave.
A:

considered yourself lucky....I'm getting a sawtooth wave. sometimes piece-wise linear and tangent.....
A:

Mine are a little catchy too...but only have 800miles on the car. Hopefully will work out

Good one SweatyPalm. Must be an engineer . . .
A:

you will someday describe it as "butter" daddy. mine was like crunch-city when i got it. at 17K, you could shift with a broken pinky.

was part of learning your car. Sometimes they're just different. I work on what mine needs to get a perfect shift with every gear change, every drive. That's part of ownership to me.
End of lecture. I have to smile ...
A:

lol ... bit about the different types of waves was hysterical
would that be more like at 900 MHz like a truck bounce or more like 2.4 GHz like responding to every non perfectly smooth surface
I am thinking higher frequencies, smaller amplitudes, wavelengths as long as the gas tank permits ... it's a *fun* bounce
A:

BTW, Nissan didn't want to give me a new tranny at first
then I went rarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
then he said, "go ahead and bring it on in. we'll get that swapped out for you."
heh
A:

I was thinking it would be more like the even periodic extention of a fourier cosine series
A:

dude, you need to keep that one in your pants, aight?
err, let me know how that thought works out.
hehe
