I am sure this has been addressed before, so please excuse me for being new to the Forum, but....
Has anyone had discussions with Nissan USA to determine whether aftermarket upgrades such as intakes, body kits, exhaust and springs will void the manufacturers warranty on the Z?

As with any car, aftermarket modifications do not in and of themselves automatically "void" any warranty. However, if it can be proven that the modification is the cause of a problem, it will not be covered under warranty.
In other words, if you put an aftermarket exhaust on your car and your radiator starts to leak, your warranty is OK. If you put an aftermarket exhaust on your car and you gain an exhaust leak at the manifold, I'm sure Nissan's dealer will inspect your installation thoroughly to make sure your aftermarket exhaust isn't the culprit.
