A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I am still fortunate that my tires which were replaced at 12K with Michelin Pilots are still nice and quiet at 22K. They were replaced free of charge for all 4 tires btw....

TOPDAWG64,
We also had our 3rd set of tires put on at about the same mileage as you. But, this time, they also installed the Michelin Pilots. We are now at 21.5K and have a good feeling. The tires are in great shape so far. Hopefully they stay that way.
Good luck with yours

I took my car to the dealer today for the feathering (it's really bad). Dealer in National City CA did not know of the feathering TSB, I gave them my copy too. They fixed the window problem and they realigned the car but supposedly I have to talk to the service manager about getting tires. According to the TSB I have to pay 30% since my mileage is 23.3K. I'll see what happens tomorrow when I speak to him but they better be nice.

Let me know how your conversation pans out with National city dealer, is that a Mossey dealership? Im here in san marcos so I'm wondering how the mossey dealers are dealing with the tire situation.

My 2003 Z has less than 7000 miles and is almost one year old. From the date of delivery it has made what I consider to be excessive noise which to me sounds like wheel bearing or pad hang-up noise. It does not make any different noise on application of brakes. Nor does the noise go away. I drove a friend's 2003 and it acted the same way.
I see from the Nissan tsb that noise under 30 mph is a symptom. Does anyone else have this experience? Does changing to the Michelin Pilots make this go away?

I scuffed my rim and they said that was the cause of the feathering. I've got Pilots in the garage waiting for any repsonse from Nissan about replacement. Any excuse not to do the right thing.
A:
Also, the grinding tranny is your fault because you shift too fast. The rattling interior is because you drive over too many speed bumps. The excessive rock chips are because you drive behind too many trucks. And the tire feathering is because you corner too damn hard.
A:
Zness you must go to a really bad dealer thats all i know Nissan has granted every request i ever made with no problems i think you dealer just doesnt like you... I dont know anyone couldnt like you
A:
The excessive seat wear is because you corner too hard and the grease streaks are because you roll the windows down too much.

Zness are you serious? corner too hard....roll the windows down to much? Sorry....I didn't drop 32K on my Z to drive like an old lady with the windows rolled up all summer....there are obviously design problems and Nissan doesn't want to spend the money to keep the Z drivers happy that already dropped the cash on the Z....
