What happened to 3year/36K miles

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

If tire feathering is caused by an alignment problem/suspension problem woudn't that be a 3/36 warranty issue? Is the two year thing, another ripoff by NNA? When they put my Z together did they do an alignment? I'm a high milage Z, so the two year/ unlimited milage is good for me, but I know there are allot of people who don't drive their z much. I have had two sets of fronts and two dealer alignments, one each at 16000 and another at 24,000. I figure on two more of each before Dec., my two year period.

I think most manufacturers consider suspension parts, alignments in the same group as brake parts and tires. It's a wear item. It is an item that wears out. Nissan isn't going to replace all tires on all 350Z's that wear out before 36,000 miles or the third year. Same with brake pads and rotors.
Generally they will warranty those items for 12 months or 12,000 miles, and even then it has to be inspected and ok'd by a representative, or something like that.

Cross that bridge when you come to it.
If all goes well Nissan will have a REAL fix before your 3 year warranty is up.
If a problem arrises after then call 1-800-NISSAN1 and get a case number.
Then let Nissan know that it is a DESIGN FLAW not a tire problem and fight them.

DatsunDave, how come you weren't at the first West Michigan Z Club meeting last Sat?
A:

GiZmo,
I was unaware of the meeting. Also, I am currently Z-less.
I'm hoping to get a 240Z within the year. fingers are crossed.
A:
