Front license plate mounting

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

first of all. does anyone know if in the state of WA, is a ticket for no front license plate considered a moving violation or is it more of a parking ticket kinda deal. and also for those who have mounted their front plates. how do you mount it to the grille becaues i do not want to mount my plate to the bumper and drill into it. ideally i would just like to not mount it and take my chances with getting a ticket

There is a kit that has a mounting that uses the tow hook hole on a threaded dowl and then the license plate bracket mounts to it. this way no drilling to the bumper.

I put my front plate on with this product.

You drill a couple holes in the grill. They won't show if the plate is removed.
This link shows you pictures of it installed:
There is another one available that screws into the tow hook. I don't like that one because your license plate sticks out way further than the bumper.

Courtesy has the bracket that you mount without messing up your bumper. No, it is not a moving violation but just a fix it ticket. I think it is under a hundred bucks. I had a Mach 1 Mustang that the front plate was missing from and the ticket was $78 bucks...

I have my front plate frame Ty-wrapped to the grill. It's been on now for almost 18 months with no problem. Easiest way to mount the plate. I can provide a digital photo if you wish..

I just installed a Grille-Tech racing grill and mounted the plate behind it. Still legible so I assume it is legal and its a pretty clean look. Only a $25 fine in Ohio for no front plate but who needs the hassle?

Do you have a picture of your grill with your license plate you could post or E-mail to me?
That sounds like a great idea!
