A&Q about 350Z
Q:
recently, i noticed two wierd sounds in my Z.
1. well, the first one comes everytime i turn, hard accelration, hard brack.
the osund coming from the rear-right side, and it sounds like someone is knocking a wooden door.
i think it is coming from the rear suspension.
2. the 2nd sound is coming when i drive the car after keeping it idle for long time (hours). it comes only when the gear is changed from 1st to 2nd under normal driving (my car has Auto transmision). the sound is in the front of the car, it like the buttom of the car is scrahced to the road.
so, any one here faced these two problems ???????????

the sound from the right rear side may be what i had. sounded like metal-on-metal cinching from outside the car. turns out the rear drive axleshaft nut may not be torqued within spec.
from my repair order: "drive axleshaft nut not torqued within spec. listen to noise while driving with chasis ears, found noise coming from rear driveline area under acceleration, tighten all bolts on differential & rear subframe, ck driveshaft, this did not resolve incident. remove rear half shafts * inspect, retorqued both shafts which resolved incident, road test car & noise is not there anymore."
it's true, the noise is not there anymore!

i get thump thump when i turn mine on Friday evening after going the week w/o turning it on. i think it's because i only drive my car on the weekends(Friday evening-Sunday).
